Forsyth Recognised for 50 Playing Years with Redlands United

Football Queensland CEO Geoff Foster has lauded the 50-year playing anniversary of Redlands United’s Brian Forsyth after he was presented with the Member Federation’s inaugural Achievement Award. Forsyth, who has spent his entire half-century at the club, was last week presented with the inaugural Football Queensland Achievement Award for his contribution to the game. Olympic FC secured their first three points of the campaign, defeating Sunshine Coast FC 2-1 at a rain-soaked Kawana Soccer Club on Sunday. Western Pride are confirmed contenders after ousting champions Palm Beach SC 2-1 at Briggs Road Complex on Saturday night. Last season’s Semi-Finalists hit top form at Corporate Travel Management Stadium, overcoming a 3-2 half time deficit to extend City’s winless streak to four. Northern Fury ended a two-match PlayStation® 4 NPL Queensland losing streak to defeat Redlands United 3-1 at Cleveland Showgrounds on Saturday.
