Malaysia U23s to compete in NPL Queensland

Football Queensland is delighted to announce that the Football Association of Malaysia (FAM) will field an Under 23 representative team in this year’s National Premier Leagues Queensland Senior Men‟s competition – an exciting first for football in Australia. The Malaysian Under 23 side, known as Harimau Muda „A‟, will become the first international representative team to compete in an Australian football league when they take to the field in early March. Brisbane Roar Join NPL Queensland

In a major boost for youth development in Queensland, Brisbane Roar can confirm the club’s entry into the National Premier Leagues (NPL) Queensland competition for 2014 and onwards. The club’s Foxtel National Youth League (NYL) squad will play in the NPL Senior Men’s competition with a Brisbane Roar Senior Women’s squad competing in the NPL Under 15 boys division.
