Sydney FC have come close to a thrilling comeback as they lost 3-2 to Chelsea Ladies FC in the semi-finals of the mobcast International Women’s Club Championships at Kanko Stadium in Okayama, Japan. The Sky Blues went down by three goals to their English opponents, but strikes from Renee Rollason and Jodie Taylor in a six minute spell late in the second half gave them hope of an unlikely comeback. Sydney FC have reached the semi-finals of the International Women’s Club Championship after defeating the Japanese Nadeshiko League runners-up NTV Beleza 1-0 at the Kanko Stadium in Okayama. Wanderers Sign USA U23 Captain

The Western Sydney Wanderers have signed current USA U23 captain Camille Levin for the remainder of the Westfield W-League 2013/14 season. Levin, who led Stanford University to the USA National Championship in 2011, arrived in Sydney on Friday and will take the field for the Wanderers in their match against Premiers Brisbane Roar on Sunday at Marconi Stadium.
