Cornthwaite joins Wanderers

Western Sydney Wanderers announce the signing of Robert Cornthwaite on a two-year deal. The 30-year-old central defender will return to the Hyundai A-League following successful stints in Korea and Malaysia with Jeonnam Dragons (Korea) and Selangor (Malaysia). Cornthwaite made over 100 appearances in the Hyundai A-League between 2005 and 2011, helping Adelaide United to the Premiership in the club’s first season as well competing in the AFC Champions League and FIFA Club World Cup. Wanderers sign Spanish defender

Western Sydney Wanderers have today announced the signing of Spanish central defender Aritz Borda for the Hyundai A-League 2016/17 season. Borda joins the Wanderers from Spanish outfit Deportivo Alavés, having helped the side secure promotion to La Liga after topping the Segunda division in 2015/16. Former Blacktown City Demons player Paul Katsetis has returned back to where it started by signing with the Western Sydney Wanderers. The creative midfielder returns to Australia after leaving in 2011 to join Greek Giants AEK Athens at the age of fifteen. It was here that he formed a close relationship with recent Socceroo’s call-up, Nathan Burns.
