After experiencing his very first senior training with Borussia Monchengladbach, former Brisbane Roar youngster Kwame Yeboah spoke to German publication Express.de.
“My first training with the pros was very exciting. I enjoyed it“, Yeboah said to the Express, “Gladbach is a big club, another world from Australia.”
Yeboah mentioned his former Roar teammate, and ex Gladbach player Thomas Broich who reassured him the move to Borussia Park was a positive one.
“(Broich) only spoke of positive things regarding Germany and Borussia,” the young Australian said.
The young Australian is adamant about making strides in the Bundesliga with Gladbach, as that’s the reason for moving so far from where he calls home.
“The Bundesliga is my big goal and the reason why I am now playing 28 hours away from my family,” he explained.
Halloran injury scare
According to reports in Germany, young Australian and Fortuna Dusseldorf winger Ben Halloran had to be pulled from training on Tuesday evening with a suspected hip problem.
What looked to be a a blow for the former Gold Coast United and Brisbane Roar man, who was beginning to find his feet in the 2.Bundesliga after the winter break, now looks to be purely precautionary.
As the Australian missed training on Thursday, but is expected to be back training with his side on Friday (10.30 am CET) after the attackers injury was revealed to be only bruising.
